Faculty-led Summer Program in Beijing

The “Chinese Culture, Folk Arts and Communities” Summer Program co-sponsored by the Chinese Program (Linguistics Department) and the Global Asian Studies Program, will help students gain knowledge of the Chinese history and culture. Through experiential learning students will acquire necessary critical knowledge and skills to explore and deeply understand China. The program is taught in English.

New Scholarship

United Airlines UIC Study Abroad Scholarship

Through the generous support of United Airlines, the Office of Global Engagement is pleased to announce a new scholarship for UIC students seeking to study or research abroad.

The United Airlines UIC Study Abroad Scholarship was established to increase access to study abroad or other international academic opportunities for under-served students. The award will be given in the form of a ticket voucher from United Airlines to the program destination – or the closest city served by United Airlines during the 2019 calendar year.

Preference is given to students who have not previously studied abroad or participated in an international academic activity, including research.
