Faculty Led a Joint Workshop on Calligraphy in UIC International Educational Week
Introduction
On November 20, 2025, faculty from the Chinese, Korean, and Japanese programs collaborated to lead a joint East Asian Calligraphy Workshop as part of UIC’s Fall 2025 International Education Week.
Students explored traditional writing techniques, learned about the cultural significance of calligraphy in each language, and created their own artwork under the guidance of program faculty.
