Linguistics Summer Research Fellowship Opportunity (Deadline: Feb 25)
Introduction
Summer fellowship program in Linguistics, the Michigan Humanities Emerging Research Scholars (MICHHERS)
MICHHERS is a 2-week academic experience program that brings to the University of Michigan talented undergraduate or MA students from diverse backgrounds who may be interested in pursuing a PhD in Linguistics. Selected applicants receive a $1,000 stipend for their participation in the program. Round trip travel, lodging and meals are also paid by the program.
The application deadline is Wednesday, February 25, 2026.
Participants meet with faculty and PhD students to talk about research in linguistics and work on their own project with mentoring from a U-M linguistics faculty in a sub-field related to applicants' interests. The program also includes research seminars, a graduate application workshop and gatherings with faculty and current graduate students from Linguistics and other disciplines.
