Navigating the interface between computer science and linguistics
Nigel Flower, UIC alum with BS and MS in Computer Science and now a Phd student in Linguistics at NYU, shared with us his experiences and reflections in navigating the interface between computer science and linguistics. Originally a French major, then a CS major and now a linguistics Phd student, Nigel's interest in the connection between human language, computing and structures of the human mind has been consistent throughout these journeys.
