New Chinese Course in Spring 2022!
CHIN300 (special topics): Chinese Culture through Photographs and Words
This is a content-language integrated course focusing on developing (cross-) cultural insights and building advanced Chinese language proficiency through listening, conversing, debating, narrating and describing. Students will be guided to explore iconic photographic images created by Chinese and non-Chinese photographers and the histories and stories associated. We will sample photographic archives, read biographies, newspaper articles, watch documentaries and engage in in-depth discussion.
