Hanae Kim and KASA host Korean History and Culture Seminar for K12 Teachers
Hanae Kim, Visiting Lecturer and Coordinator of Korean Studies Program, in collaboration with Korean American Students Association (KASA), hosted a Korean History and Culture Seminar for K12 Teachers. As part of the one-day seminar program, Hanae Kim presented on teaching Korean culture through films. Dr. Michael Jin (Global Asian Studies and History, UIC) gave a lecture on Korean American immigration history, Dr. Lucy Park (College of Medicine, UIC) gave a lecture on Korean literature and Sijo. Participants also enjoyed Taekwondo and traditional music performance and a lesson on Korean drum.
