Japanese program students attended film screening at the Chicago International Film Festival

students at film festival

Organized by Japanese Program coordinator Mika Changet and instructor Dr. Noriko Day,  students in the Japanese language program attended the matinee screening of My Sunshine, a film set in the picturesque landscapes of Hokkaido, at the Chicago International Film Festival. This field trip is an example of learning world languages through culture and rich storytelling traditions. We thank Professor Emerita Jessica Williams, former departmental head, for her generous support of students' extracurricular learning opportunities.
